Maggie Grace was born Margaret Grace Denig on September 21 in 1983. She is an American actress best known for her role as Shannon Rutherford in ABC TV show Lost. Maggie Grace was born in Worthington in Ohio, left high school and moved to Los Angeles after her divorced parents divorced. As she struggled financially, she was able to land her first acting gig as the title character in the video on-demand series Rachel's Room in the year 2001. In the following year, she was awarded an Young Artist Award nomination in 2002, for her role as the 15 year old murder victim Martha Moxley in the television movie Murder which aired in Greenwich. Grace played Shannon Rutherford on the Lost television show in 2004. The show featured her as the principal role for two seasons, and was awarded a Screen Actors Guild Award. Grace quit the show in 2005 to pursue the role of a greater part in films, having appeared alongside Tom Welling as Kim Mills in Taken. The following year, she appeared on screen in Suburban Girl The Jane Austen Book Club and also, as the Liam Neeson character Kim Mills as Kim Mills in Taken. Taken 2 (2012), Taken 3 2014 and Taken 4 (2014) Replays of the roles. Grace reprised her role as Shannon in Lost and the final episode. The year 2013 saw Grace appear in Californianation, the 6th season. She portrays Faith as a groupie, as well as a model for the stars. Hank Moody is played by David Duchovny. Gyllenhaal is a member of her family, and is the older cousin of Jake Gyllenhaal. In her early teens she appeared in small roles in her father's movies and was co-starring with her twin brother on Donnie Darko which is a cult classic. Her subsequent roles included Adaptation Confessions of a Dangerous Mind, both 2002 and Mona Lisa Smile (2003). Gyllenhaal has received critical praise for her leading roles in Secretary (2002 an erotic romantic drama) and Sherrybaby (606), both of which garnered the actress Golden Globe Award nods. The Dark Knight, which was released in 2008 after several highly successful films including World Trade Center (2006) and World Trade Center (2006), earned Gyllenhaal more fame. Following her acclaimed performance as an unmarried mother in Crazy Heart (2009), she earned the Academy Award nomination for Best Supporting Actress. In the following years, she appeared in comedies and dramas: Nanny McPhee as well as the Big Bang (2010) Hysteria (2011) and Will Not Back Down (2012). The other roles she's played included Secret Service agents in White House Down (2013 Action thriller) as well as musicians in Frank (2014, drama The Kindergarten Teacher 2018) in addition to her role as the Kindergarten Teacher. The debut of Gyllenhaal as a filmmaker and writer was in 2021 with The Lost Daughter, a psychological thriller that won her the Venice International Film Festival Best Screenplay Award. The film also was awarded the Academy Award nomination for Best Adapted Screenplay.
