Ana Gonzales bio
Ana Gonzalez de Jorgenson was born in Mexico into a family that included musicians. She was raised listening to traditional, old boleros and classic romantic songs and the Ranchero style. Ana loves tangos, operas and other dramatic performances. When she was a child, her mother would sing with her, she started more serious singing lessons at the age of 16, under the direction by renowned Mexican tenor FlavioBecerra. In Guadalajara she studied at the School of Music of University of Guadalajara as well as in Toluca in the School of Sacred Music. In Guadalajara and Mexico City, she was a member of many opera ensembles as well as chamber groups. After relocating in California in United States in 2000, she performed with the Fort Lauderdale Symphony Chorus before moving to her present home in southern California. She sings as a soloist Latin American music for private occasions and is a part of Ensemble XXI in Redlands. She has been involved with a number of local projects in both teaching and performer, because of her love of music and art. Ana has also been a former member of Community Chorus of Redlands as and The Inland Master Chorale and Performance Loft. Ana is grateful to the Inland Master Choir for allowing her to perform traditional Latin American song.
